...I'm starting to get concerned about what I may see when SMU comes down to the valley to play UT-Pan Am. This weekend, UTPA went to Assembly Hall in Illinois and led by 10 in the first half before finally losing by 12. The game was for the most part competitive. Pan Am has some height and meat inside.

I haven't been concerned about that game in January to this point; I've been looking forward to going over to Edinburg & watching the Ponies hammer a Div. 1 Independent. After losing to ULM, though, how does everyone think SMU would've performed vs. say Illinois?

well, I certainly wouldn't take any D-1 team for granted right now on the road without BHop. As for how SMU would match up with Illinois, its pretty hard to say we would do as well as UTPA did, but I follow Illinois pretty closely and I can tell you they are not even close to the same Illinois as last year. They struggled against D-III Illinois Weslyan in the final exhibition game. That game was actually tied in the second half. I think they are really struggling to incorporate some new players right now.
