Tied up 33-33 at the half. Announcer said lots of SMU turnovers, but we're shooting 44%.

Win one on the road! Go Mustangs!

Lost 76-58 (I think). I didn't listen to the game, so I don't know what happened.

We lost and are now 3-5. What has happened? I thought this team was supposed to be much stronger since we were over our injuries and back to a full complement of players.

I don't follow WBB at SMU that closely, but just a casual observation, it seems like things are getting stale with Rompoloa like it did with Dement. Maybe it's time for a change.

This is an experienced, talented team, that is in big trouble. Something is very wrong.

I don't know what the problem is, but that ain't it. Coach Rompola just lined up another strong recruiting class, and got this team to play over its collective head last year. Maybe last year set the expectations bar at an unreachable level this year? Have faith -- Coach Rompola will get this straightened out.

Expectation level -- you mean like actually make a 3 point shot?

I think 50's Pony is on target. From watching the home games, the biggest deficiency I see is our lack of a solid outside shooter. We have several players with good mid range games, but nobody who from game to game is our go to outside threat. I think we will get better as we approach conference season though, and we should be able to make a strong showing.

And one other thing to note before everyone jumps ship...

We're 54th in RPI and have played the 5th hardest schedule in the nation thusfar. 3 of our losses are against top 15 RPI teams.

Not to be argumentative, but haven’t the losses to top programs been blow outs and haven’t we lost to teams we should have beaten. That being said, I wish the women well and will remain optimistic they can go forward with a good season.

Yes, a couple of the losses have been pretty bad. As I said, 3 of the losses are to top 15 teams. Other than that, we lost to UNT by 15 and Arkansas by 10. UNT is 6-1 and 49th in RPI, so a loss to them isn't terrible. Yes, we would like to beat them, but they are a quality team. Arkansas is the worst team we have lost to, and they are a tough team from a tough conference who just outmuscled us down the stretch. I don't want to sound like I'm making excuses, I just don't think it's time to jump ship quite yet.
