Did anyone notice that Darrell Arthur was at last nights game? I was glad to see that we played with some heart and almost beat a top 25 while he was in attendance.
If he signs with us it would be amazing.

Wow...

Impressive, good thing for SMU, it could have been even better if we pulled out a win. Do we have a reasonable chance with this guy, scout and rivals seem like they don't think so, but I still think we have chance.

Rivals or somebody quoted mama Arthur as saying SMU was no longer under consideration. Thats pretty bad news if you ask me, about as bad as recruiting news gets when his mom says it. On the other hand, he was at our game last night. May not mean anything though. I would consider him as going elsewhere and if we somehow get him, its a gift.

All I know is his cousin made it to the NBA from SMU and he can too.

If he comes...

Tubbs will get him NBA ready, and he can take the mustangs to at least the NCAA tournament.

SMU's upset bid falls short vs. OU

By CALVIN WATKINS / The Dallas Morning News

UNIVERSITY PARK – The two offensively-challenged teams at Moody Coliseum could have used Dallas' top recruit Tuesday night.

When South Oak Cliff senior forward Darrell Arthur was asked if he could have helped SMU and Oklahoma, he said, "probably."

Arthur could get his chance next year. SMU, Baylor, Kansas and Indiana are among his options.

No. 12 Oklahoma survived for a 50-47 victory in front of a pro-Sooners crowd of 6,857 Tuesday.

Should we assume he was there to watch SMU and not Oklahoma???????

Well, since he has never shown any interest in OU and SMU is in his final four, I would say yes.

I dont know what to think of that quote from his mom, but I hear we are still in the race. Apparently he is really considering staying close to home and that both SMU and Baylor are options. I guess you have to put Baylor ahead of us on the list since Arthur went to one of their practices recently and mentioned some of their players by name in a quote. I wasn't all that impressed with Aaron Bruce but I guess Shady is. Is that ok for me to say on the SMU board, Buttitan?
