Question about t.o. protocol during SMU v TCU game

The other night during the SMU v TCU game, the Frogs brought their chairs out on to the court during their timeouts. My wife - who has seen NUMEROUS more bball games than I have over the years - could not believe this was allowed. I've never seen it, either.

Is this something new? SMU respects the court and keeps the chairs on the sideline where they belong.

My stepdaughter - who attends Texas Tech - says Bob Knight does this all the time. So...I guess it's TCU just trying to be Bob Knight Red Raider wannabes?

That is pretty much the norm for College ball up here. We see a lot of Big 10, Big East and A10 games and pretty much all of them do that. mainly because of the noise from students planted behind the visitors bench. It's not a bad idea, especially if the coach wants to be heard.

You must not have been paying attention. This happens all the time in college and I have seen it many, many times at Moody.

PF: I haven't attended very many bball games over the years. Football is my sport. But I'm starting to 'learn to like the court'...especially since the Mrs. loves the game. ;) Thanks for answering the question and clearing it up.
