...just picked up the last couple of tickets for the SMU/UM game, 1/14. Called various markers around town and now have 10 tickets in my hot little hands. So, rest assured, there will be "at least" 10 maniacs at the FedEx Forum that Sat. evening.....I smell an upset. Team seems to play up to competition (OU), plus, I am going to be there...I AM an SMU good luck charm. Look and Listen for the mightly HtoL that night folks, hopefully, we will "bring home a winner", as Jack Buck used to say....long live Phil Hale.

I am going to be in town the 12th and 13th for a conference and am still debating whether to stay over another night to go to the game. Is it really sold out?

..it is not sold out. You still get tickets in the "upper levels"....I, of course, will be courtside, down low...loud and proud. ALSO, tickets are readily available, good seats, on game day, if you don't mind dealing with a bunch of "cruise and flow" dudes out front.....long live Steve Strange. BTW, if you don't mind me asking..what convention / seminar will you be attending in our fair city? Do you require dining recs?

I'll be at the game, but I don't have HTL's connections, so 4 of us will be in the upper deck. Tickets up there are still available. I hope we shock the world, D.........you never know, UM shot sooooo poorly v. ut, and they have been known to go into mental laspes from time to time. Bottom line, we will have to play well for ALL the game.....SMU hoops is overdue for a big win like this...it has been awhile. What was our last big bball W? Beating Duke in '83? KU in '79? Our Harvard beats Yale LOSS to Georgetown in '84? When's the last time we beat a ranked team? A top 10 team? Long Live Joe Swedlund.

true...their shot selection can be horrendous especially when they try to play as individuals like they did against UT. Hopefully we will shoot well and play them tight. Be interested to see how we will match up. Who covers carney or shawn williams? Don't know if we have the athletes to play them straight up, but maybe tubbs will go zone - either way we are going to have to be hot on offense to just keep up. Would be great to get a big win. As for when our last win over a ranked opponent, I think it was purdue a few years ago. Be nice to get another.

this is exactly the reason CUSA is much better for SMU than being out West in some other conference.

Playing in Memphis is much, much better for SMU.
