11-2 @ first timeout. Four minutes played, four turnovers. For the matter, more turnovers than points. If you picked the 'under' for the number of minutes until we a) dropped a pass down low; b) bricked a 3; c) had to foul to stop a breakaway dunk, you one.
OOps! Another turnover as I'm finishing typing this.

Well, the first half is almost halfway over. Because of the magnitude of playing a top five opponent, I will take the time to give everyone an accounting of each SMU basket to this point, which follows:
An eight-footer within the first minute to give SMU a 2-0 lead.
Thus concludes the accounting of each SMU basket to this point.
Enough for me. Be safe traveling home, Ponies.

33-22 at half. Not good, but not embarrassing either. Bamba doing some good things again, Hopkins ok too, everybody else has to pick it up big time.

I believe it was 21-2 at one point, so 20-12 us after that. Bamba looks good.

You must admit that we havn't seen shot plocking like this in a log time. Give Bamba credit. He has game for a freshman that has not played at all in elven games this year. That is promising.

the kids hae not been able to play together as a team all season and that hurts
but with hope, we can string enough wins to make it to the conf tourney and hit on all cylnders then

Although this team continues to appear dis-jointed, in fairness to Tubbs, he only has four of his recruits on this team. One is injured, one has been a disappointment (Epps) and two are starting. Bamba Fall, although initially seen as a major project, might turn out to be the steal of 2005 recruiting season. So I believe the jury is out on Tubbs. Give him a chance to show us what he can do both in coaching with a team of his own recruits and on the recruiting trail over a period of several years.

20 pts isn't too bad considering the garbage I saw at the UTEP game.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"It was a big-time game, and I felt like I had to step up," Hopkins said. "Early in the year, the big men inside weren't ready for some of my passes. But [Saturday] we did a good job of catching the ball and watching."
Hop, please step up more often, thank you.
