Winnable games

Postby CalallenStang » Sat Jan 14, 2006 10:05 pm

Here's the rest of the schedule

Rice
@ UT-Pan American
@ UTEP
@ Tulane
Southern Miss
Tulsa
@ Houston
Marshall
UCF
@Tulsa
UAB
@Rice

So the way I see it, we have a lot of winnable games left, with the only ones out of reach being @ UTEP, @ Houston, and UAB. However, I only see us winning 4 or 5 of them.

Hopefully we can get some momentum rolling and make a strong showing in the CUSA tournament

We need a scorer besides Hopkins to step up. What has happened to Roberts? I thought he averaged nearly 30 points a game in high school. Now he hardly ever takes a shot even when he is wide open! I thought Epps was supposed to be a 54% 3 point shooter in JC. With us its amazing if he takes a shot! Tubb's lone recruit for next year is supposed to be a great athlete, but has yet to prove he can score. And Matt Williams was supposed to be a 3 point phenom out of high school, but was rarely played early by Tubbs and has since had surgery on both ankles! (anybody know his status.) Where are the points going to come from this year and especially next when Hopkins graduates??????

Freak occurrance.

Ponymon: from what I saw in the TCU game (the only one I've seen this year), when we get a shooter wide open they are more amazed to be wide open than anything else. They don't take the shot because by the time they get done thinking about how open they are a defender closes in on them.

If we don't beat UT-Pan Am, I don't know what I am going to do.
