Saw the movie tonight, pretty good, but got a little heavy-handed at times with the "but we're starting 5 black players" thing. Especially since Haskins himself never made a big deal out of it, just played the 5 best players.
A few SMU tidbits:
-At the Lubbock regional finals game, there are banners of 4 schools in the rafters: Kansas, Cincinnati, Texas Western, and SMU. You could see it several times, kinda cool.
-Rogers Healy!!! As a player on the Kentucky team, he's the one that's usually sitting next to Rupp (Jon Voight) on the bench, or standing behind him when he's talking in a huddle. Lots of camera time, good job Rogers!

Never met Rogers but I bet the chance to be in a major, Disney movie was a huge decision for him. Not to mention that is a drea for most people-to be in a major movie and ponyfans.com advertiser.

Real Estate is going well!!
One of the joys of my job is the flexibility of my schedule...like taking a month off to be in a Jerry Bruckheimer film.
I'm really glad you all got to see the film. It's a great story that needs to be shared.
Go Mustangs!

How cool is this, to have a bona fide movie star supporting SMU athletics by supporting PonyFans.com! I'm going to go see the movie specifically to check out Rogers' game.

The REAL Pat Riley is most likely the coolest guy I have met in my entire life. He's one of those guys that can wear sunglasses inside and no one asks why he's wearing them. Haha.
The guy that plays Riley in the movie is the worst basketball player I've ever seen. I was actually hoping that I was cast as Riley...no dice.
I hope you all can see the film!!

Saw it - liked it. My 11 year old son loved it even more -
I did not even recognize Jon Voight until way late in the movie - was that a bunch of makeup or did he realy age 10 years in the past year.

Yea, Voight had on a TON of makeup, along with some fake ears and a big 'ole nose.
Do you guys want me to post some pictures from the set? I have a ton of them and I bet you'd all get a kick out of it.

smoopower, you want to field that one? Maybe a link to an on-line gallery or something?
smoopower is our technical wizard. I'd give an answer, but I'd undoubtedly end up giving you instructions that somehow blow up your computer.

I was in a movie about 3 years ago ... it premiered at the Angelika. That's all I'm going to say about that.

Got to see Glory Road today. No doubt in my mind that had they put Healy in the last 2 minutes, Kentucky would have won.
