surprisingly nice looking broadcast. Is it just me, or does the Moody court just look strange? Maybe it is the bright colors...

And hey look, the bleachers are pulled out. I can see that it may not be necessary to "spread out" our few fans with that last section that's past the basket, but behind the opponents bench?
I also agree they should squeeze the band into a smaller area, like the half of their bleachers closest to the opponents bench.

Gross can shoot the rock. Can we get her on the men's team?

Ponies win, I think 67-56. I believe they said we are now tied for 2nd in CUSA.
Don't forget that SMU hosts the CUSA womens tourney this year, get out there and support them so we can make it worth it!
Good job ladies, Go Ponies!

No can do. There is a CUSA rule that prohibits home fans and bands in the quarter section of the visiting team. This is for the womens games, not mens. So the band has to stay in their half of the bleachers that are furthest from the visiting teams bench. The bleachers behind the bench can not seat home team fans, only the visiting team.

Why is this game on national tv?

Ok well, I'd heard the rule about no fans behind opponents bench, but it can't be that entire section. It's something like 14 seats or whatever, there are easily 100 in that 1/4 of the sideline bleachers.

MFFL02, who cares. Just glad it was on. I watched for a while with my son, who when he saw the floor shouted "Go Ponies!" He floowed that up with "the Go Ponies beat the tarheels." Sure it was soccer, but he says that all the time. Around my parts, that comment turns heads. And makes me smile every time I hear it.
Go Ponies!

It's part of the national package signed by ESPN and CUSA last summer.

Yeah, the floor looked very yellow and the red looked extremely bright. Probably not ESPN's A-team in the production truck.

The reds were pretty bright, but at least some potential recruit outside of Texas might think we have a bright gym.
