Davis will finish season. Looks like The race for Slim Shady is down to 3.

You have to feel bad for Eddie Sutton. After being sober for 15 years he fell off the wagon. Sad times. He even managed to get through all the grief after the plane crash at OSU without a drink and now he will go back to rehab. He should be in all our thoughts and prayers.

So you think his departure definitely eliminates the Hoosiers from the Shady sweepstakes?

Sorry to hear about Sutton's troubles. Despite the fact that he took special joy in kicking our butts, I hope he gets through it. Indiana is now a very tough gig for a coach. They have super high expectations, and sort of like SMU an administration that is not too cooperative anymore. Also, fans remember the good old days with Bobby Knight. He may have been a jerk, but he was their jerk. I agree with Davis gone, Slim Shady is not going to commit to a program without a coach. I suspect they were his first choice with Davis. Now, he may very well be looking at SMU, Kansas and Baylor only. Kansas is probably his second choice because he knows they are a top notch program where he will get on television often. I like our chances against Baylor.

I do not like SMU's chances. Despite Baylor's troubles they are putting money into their athletic programs. SMU is not. SMU refuses to upgrade its basketball facilities which is necessary if we are going to attract quality athletes. Baylor beat us out on Arthur's highschool teammate last year so why should we expect to beat Baylor for Arthur. I will believe it when I see it. I hope I am wrong.
