2 things about the game last night

1) I do not get Tubbs sometimes.
Dez was 3 for 3 from 3 point land in the first 6 minutes of the game I believe, so Tubbs benches him for 5-6 whole minutes in a row. When a player is hot.....leave him in or make fast subs. I understand he needs a break every now and then but not when he hits 3 three pointers in a row.
Hint: when a player is "on fire", leave him in.

2) What the hell happened to the cheerleaders? They were cute, they cheered at the game, they cared, they were half the size of our regular cheerleaders.......where they next year squad, or high school fill ins or what?

I wouldn't call it a game.... at least not a college basketball game.

I thought they had kidnapped the teams put in a game of YMCA teams instead.

great point ponydawg.

imo, Tubbs substitutions have been terrible. he subs way too much - our best lineup (the starters) never get enough consecutive minutes to develop a strong rhythm. I hope tubbs proves he can recruit, because his lack of coaching ability is indisputable

Dez came out because the guy he was guarding was just blowing by him for lay-ups and shots in the paint; he was just playing awful defense

I believe we were up by about 7 when he came out and sat for 5 straight minutes. I am not saying he shouldn't sub or make adjustments. but when a player sinks 3 3 pointers in a row, the bench is not where he needs to go to cool off.

i think Jon played some good intense d and took / made smart shot selections.
