Found a couple of interesting notes in Kyle Snyder's Daily Campus story about Saturday's win over Central Florida:
• "They would fare no better in Dallas as Bryan Hopkins’ 23 points led SMU to a 21-point rout, 77-55."
Um .... I didn't major in math. I didn't even TAKE a math class. But isn't 77 minus 55 .... 22?
• "Fall’s 45 blocks on the season breaks the record of 43 set by Ira Terrell in 1973."
Congratulations! Except the record for blocks in a season by an SMU player is 97 by Jon Koncak in 1983-84. Terrell's best season was in 1975-76, when he had 79 blocks -- the third-highest total in SMU history. Presumably he meant to say Fall broke the freshman record, which Terrell set in 1972-73 with 43.
