Not sure how Valid it is since it is from a blog, - no offense SMU BLOG
But this is from a Kansas blog site:
http://phogblog.com/categories/darrel-arthur/

"There’s some chatter on 810 WHB that Darrell Arthur will be a Jayhawk next year. Arthur is the best unsigned player left in the class of ‘06, and while I’ve questioned our need for him, I’ll certainly trust Self to know what this team needs better than I do.

In any case, picking up DA, who’s been ranked anywhere between about 8 and 18 in next year’s class, would give Coach Self yet another monster recruiting class."

Not so fast, my friends!

I wasn't holding my breath on Arthur .... but at the same time, nothing's final until he signs, right?

Agreed, until he signs, he could still choose SMU.

You reading this wrong jt - but he ain't coming here so I am not sure why we are still talking about it.

Arthur was considering Baylor, SMU and Kansas but leaning toward Indiana until coach Mike Davis said he wouldn't return. Now Kansas is his favorite, and its coaches are regularly spotted in Mays' basement office off the SOC locker room. But Arthur said he's also considering Texas, Oklahoma, UNLV and Arizona.

Looks to me like I was reading it right, based on your cut and paste job. But otherwise, you are right, he ain't coming here.

Texas Roundball is starting to drop hints Shady might wind up at A&M. What a coup for Gillespie if this happens.......................

i couldnt understand why he wasnt considering A&M sooner. He knows how good Roland and Sloan are firsthand from his battle with them over the years. Those two are gonna be great guards in college in my opinion. Shady would go with them very nicely. Makes more sense than Baylor to me, that is if he has to leave Dallas to play ball.

Gillispie was quoted in todays Sports Day saying "he might sign another recruit in the spring if he's an impact player". My mind imediately went to Arthur and I would bet he is the "impact player" Gillispie is talking about.

If he signs Shady, it will be more than a sweet 16 finish for them - final four in two years. Jones, Arthur, Sloan, Roland, Fulce, Davis, Elonu - wow. Not a more athletic team in America playing his kind of defense..........

Aggies are after a 6'5" kid from North Carolina, too. The "impact player" is either Shady or this kid.

I know I've said this before, but man...all these things we're hearing about Gillespie & his newfound D/FW pipeline to College Station...I swear that's what we were led to believe was going to happen for us with Tubbs.
