Sean Sutton

It has been known for a while that Rod had been unhappy for a while now. Roderick's mother called the coaches alot during the season wondering why her son wasnt playing more. One time she mentioned how UNT and SMU had contacted her and offered Rod a scholarship if he wanted to transfer.

Recruiting kids while they are at another school is a big no no. Rumor is that this happened as early as the OSU @ baylor game. Sean told Flem he could leave if he wanted to but he wasnt going to release him to any teams that contacted him while he was still playing for OSU (pretty sleezy of those teams if you ask me). Anyway, he wont be released to the Big 12, UNT, SMU, and maybe one other.

Good luck to Rod where ever he goes. My advice would be to try your luck at a mid major, but a talented one. Not an SMU or TCU.

Osufan, you are throwing out some accusations. Drunk and paranoid is no way to go through life, Eddie. If the kid wants to transfer let him go where he wants. Nobody is trying to actively recruit him away from OSU. Ever think the kid and his mom put some feelers out? Ever consider that coaches say all the time to a kid that if you ever change your mind there is a place for you here? It aint sleezy and I can bet you the Suttons have done that and more forever. Dont be a freakin hypocrit.

TRB, looks like you were wrong about the impact that Flem would have his first year at OSU.

Looks like he went to the wrong place. He did produce when given the chance. We still think he will be a great player. Needs to make sure he gets the right fit this time.

#1. they won't get shady.
#2. he needs to go somewhere that has 4 or 5 star players to elevate his game. Going to SMU will not do that.
#3. he has to find the right fit for his game.
#4. maybe a Cincy,New Mexico St.(Reggie Theus) San Diego St...and nice mid major with a good coach. SMU,TCU,& UNT would not be a good fit for him. The kid has good talent and I hope he finds the program for him.

Rod should stay put...This is exactly what I am talking about...Not happy, so it time to leave...I mentioned before that Rod is a helluva player but there will be issues and problems where ever he goes...How can a mom call a coach, When she is not even at the practice..Does not make since to me, let the kid grow and handle his own problem..

CUT THE CORD!!

Does anyone remember the story about Chris Duhon...He wanted to leave DUKE and his mother told him you need to finish what you started...Wow it pays off to stick around and put in the hard work most of the time...
