Bob HugginsESPN radio reported that he has taken the head coaching job at Kansas State.
Good hire for K-State; I'd like to see what he can do in the middle of nowhere though. It will be a lot harder to recruit to Manhattan than Cincinatti.
"Then in the Arctic half-light of the canyon, all existence fades to a being with my soul and memories and the sounds of the Big Blackfoot River and a four-count rhythm and the hope that a fish will rise."
Kinda like it is so hard to recruit to the middle of nowhere Lubbock and Waco? I don't think it will matter too much considering it is the Big 12 and the kids are going to have a chance to play against the big names all the time, and eventually go to the dance.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney? Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.
He'll do fine and have them in the tourney within a couple of years. Being in the middle of nowhere has nothing to do with success. Success is dictated by the level of committment the school has. Like him or not Huggins will put together a winning program. Look where being in the middle of everything has gotten us.
I predict that this is thread is too loosely related to SMU athletics, and that once people starting poking fun of Huggins's past it will quickly turn obscene and be deleted. The magic eight ball has spoken.

You should drop out of law school. Your skin is not thick enough.
It will be interesting to see if the two studs out of North College Hill, Mayo and Walker, (now juniors and the #3 team in the country) make good on the promise to follow Huggs. If they do, K State will be in the sweet 16 in a couple of years.
My reason for posting this was that this could potentially hurt SMU recruiting Dallas players because Huggins is known for being a big recruiter of Texas, the Dallas area especially. Before at Cincy all he could sell was his coaching now he can sell the coaching and that they will get to play OU, Texas, Tech, A&M, and Baylor.
exactly, Huggins always recruited Texas, but look for him to crank it up a notch with KState. Huggins got a guy a few years ago that could have paired with Hopkins to change our program. I believe Armein Kirkland almost came to SMU to play with Hopkins, but ended up choosing Cincy.
can you predict how my tax return will look this year...............
either you will owe a lot or the government will owe you a lot, either way somebody ends up happy and somebody ends up sad.
