Good, I don't have to hear anymore about the DMN coverage of UT!

Why on the SMU message board, do we care about LSU either?

Good, now will the Sports Page (seperate sport newspaper) stop harping about how UT is destined to win both football and basketball national championships?!

We don't. Or at least I don't. But I'm like many in this town who tire of the constant fawning over all things Longhorn, and now we'll get a break (albeit a brief break, before college baseball is shoved down our throats). I'm indifferent toward LSU -- take 'em or leave 'em. I'm just glad they knocked out the Horns.

It's so stupid when people root against another school. Just cheer your team(s) on to win.

Yeah, it would have been cool to have the trifecta National Championships (baseball, football and basketball), but I guess it wasn't in the cards. My critique of this team all year was their lack of mental toughness in close games or games where they fall behind. Anyway, congrats to LSU.

Hey LF68:
How many of your guys do you see going pro this year?

Who knows? Hopefully only the seniors. If we lose both Alridge and Tucker, we're doomed. Hopefully, they'll stick around at least another year.

As far as the seniors, both Brad Buckman has a good shot of getting drafted, or at least maybe picked up as a free agent. Kenton Paulino is probably not going to get drafted.

I read somewhere that it's "a virtual lock" that Aldridge, Tucker and Gibson all will leave. If so, I'm sure the UT recruiting machine will be kicked into overdrive.

You really think Buckman will get a shot? You've seen a lot more UT hoops than I have. I didn't think he was bad, but I wasn't exactly blown away, either.

Well Tucker and Gibson said they are both coming back already and Aldridge says he thinks he will come back, but is not making a decision yet. After the performance against LSU, he may want to work on some things. However, if he is still projected to be a top five pick, $ usually prevails.

Well, he definitely fizzled out near the end of the season. UT had a ridiculous record when we scored more than so many points (can't recall, but it was something like 16-1 when he scored more than 8 points). As I said, I don't think he'll get drafted high, but I think he's got a good shot at playing in the NBA.

If Aldrige, Tucker and Gibson leave, we'll be f-ed in a.
