Just the prep school kid. 2 Scholarships left, assuming Ritters is open. Willingham should have 2 years of eligibility left.

I believe Dez has two more years. He's listed as a soph.

1 commit- Nyam.

Dez - 2 years eligibility left.

I posted in the recruiting board about 20 minutes ago for information as to who else we are recruiting for this current hoops recruiting class. I have not heard all that much in the way of rumors/speculation.

Sorry, looks like I was a little slow in my reply.

I'd also like to know if anyone has heard anything about this investigation. Copey is now back to work. We are going on 3-4 mos.? I wish Orsini started now.

Not sure if this has been discussed, but what is the situation with Matt Williams? Is he still on the team? There has to be more to that story. I’m still baffled by the fact that a father would report his son's college coach for taking a couple of kids to lunch and paying.

I agree. Also, let's say the OU thing was a major violation, would Tubbs and Sampson get placed on recruiting probations?

No. Dez still has 5 years to play 4. He played one year at K-state, went to a junior college for a year, but did not play there, then played one year at SMU. 2 years left, to play 2 seasons of eligibility.

The school administration has told Tubbs he has to keep Williams on the team. Needless to say its not a comfortable situation.

wow. I dont like the sound of that. Its hard to imagine a happy resolution given that implication. Maybe Friarwolf is really Max Williams and he is using circumstance and leverage to get Tubbs out. I'm kidding, but this sucks. No wonder recruiting is quiet at the moment. We have a full fledged [deleted] match on our hands between a wealthy booster and a coach. Thanks Mr. Williams. Really sounds like a case of a grandfather who wants to use his influence to make sure his grandkid gets playing time. There were rumblings early last fall about Matt williams not understanding why he wasnt playing more. Well, I guess he ran to granddad, and now granddad wants a new coach. Forget Orsini, lets just bend over and make Max Williams AD.

just a word of caution-when it comes to recruiting violations its best to view the "company line" skeptically.

I've been waiting very patiently for the story to come out, but I don't view XTC as towing the "company line". In fact, XTC has been known to rattle a few cages at the Company.

I've heard two versions of the story. Both make Copeland look stupid. Under both versions the violation(s) should have been handled entirely internally not handed off to the NCAA. One version is trivial, the other was a proposal that was never acted upon. Until I get my facts correct it is worthless to speculate.

I might be wrong, but I believe there's an NCAA rule that says that if a charge is made by someone outside the university, reporting it to the NCAA is not optional.
