SMU finds a coach in the image you guys can support for more than one year. I sure hope the guy doesn't make any mistakes, or yell at players or act crazy in somebody's view. He better get a blue chip player right out of the gate. No matter who comes in here, there is a high likelihood that it will take time, lots of time to make you people at all happy. There will be doubters and lean times even in year 2 or 3 of his tenure. Support him through that. Quit looking for reasons to fire coaches. This is a hope and prayer. I fully expect we will be right back here in a few short years. Good luck Tubbs, you never had a chance.

Tubbs was not given a chance in my eyes. Until I see that MAJOR NCAA rules were broken I see this and a witch hunt.

Paying for women - NO
Paying for Apartments or tuition - NO
Paying for Laundry Service - NO

I would almost bet the Bambe re-paid the borrowed Arm and Hammer.

SMU is a complete joke when it comes to athletics.......and I'm to the point that I really don't care anymore.

BTW, good luck to the folks who are running this joke of an athletic department in finding Coach Tubbs replacement......no qualified coach in his right mind would come this school. It's a career ender.

Why don't we wait until the full story is know before flying off the handle. I am a Tubbs supporter, but am withholding Judgement until we know more about what is going on with the program. I suspect that there is more than what we are hearing, but have nothing to base that on, so I will wait and see. The fact of the matter is we have a new AD and he knew that Tubbs situation was in flux. He will have tough test if Tubbs is gone.
