DURHAM, N.C. -- Center Eric Boateng has decided to leave Duke after one season and plans to transfer following the spring semester.
The 6-foot-10 Boateng averaged 0.7 points and 0.6 rebounds in 20 games in 2005-06. He played a total of 50 minutes and took only seven shots, making six. The Blue Devils (32-4) lost in the semifinal of the Atlanta Regional to LSU.
"Eric has elected to pursue opportunities at another school," Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski said in a statement. "He is leaving Duke in good academic standing and we wish him well in the future."
