Surely (don't call me Shirley), the wheels have been in motion for quite a few days. Orsini knew "whaz up" when he took the job and I imagine he called for this before he signed. When this was agreed upon, chances are he had someone in mind for the basketball job or he's mulling a couple of possibilities. He's not in the dark about anything or any body... we're just not used to our AD being a "player". I have every confidence he's gonna get a good coach... and, yes, there'll be some bigger bucks paid and a 5-year deal. The other regime is finished. I just hope we don't have to rehash it. BUT, that seems to be what people like/want. It's not that SMU did not give Coach Tubbs a chance, he messed up and denied himself the chance.
