Athletic Department Deficit!

Now you know why this school's athletic department runs such big deficits year end and year out! Buyouts for Cavan, Dement, and now Tubbs add up. I'm sure that some of your Mustang Club money is going to help make these payments either directly or indirectly unless they are getting help from some of the big boosters like Gerald Ford. I wonder if future budgets double up the salaries to account for these terminations and salaries for their replacement :?: If Bennett doesn't produce this year will he be terminated? Are the remaining three years of his contract being doubled up to budget for this possibility :?: Inquiring minds want to know:roll:

Those Bennett extensions do not make sense. I support Phil, but yearly extensions are a little too much.

The costs of all the buyouts combined do not equal the 2004-2005 athletic year's deficit alone. Thanks for the hyperbole, though.

Maybe Max Williams wrote the buyout check out of petty cash.
