Not true. They had a meeting to discuss diversity, too.

Now that the diversity discussion is done all they have to do is vote on Evans et al. :)

I like the fact that Ira Terrell and Jay Poerner are on the committee.

Ira, "IT" scares me......NEVER will forget the time during the SMU Homecoming parade, Ira was riding in one of the convertibles, As An SMU Basketball Legend, they put his career point total on his little sign, and, unfortunately, it was "short" by like 42 points..."IT" takes out a pen, scratches out the nicely printed sign company total, and writes in his corrected amount..quite impressive....I knew some folks that worked with him at Dr Pepper / 7 Up, let's just say it is a little scary that IT will have input into our next coach. Long Live John Colborne.

Glad to see Max Williams isn't on this list. I wonder if his name had never been involved if he would have been. Yea good ol poerner that should help. I really think they should look at a high profile guy, like a Matt Daugherty. Look at the success Texas Tech has had after getting Bobby Knight.

I think there should be a mandatory Ponyfan on the committee.

Call me skeptical but I do not think the committee is going to have much if any input. They did not on the AD. I think that Turner and Orsini will make the call and introduce the new man to the committee just as was done with Orsini. It just makes good press to have all the names and diversity on the committee. Maybe wrong, but if a coach is named in the next few days, I do not think the committee is anything but window dressing. And if the right person is picked ( I am favoring Evans but certanily not locked in on him) I do not care if they are involved or not.

Oh, for sure, the committee is a charade. But one I could have done without.

What would we do without committees? How prestigious. Will probably never meet. It's over. Just a formality. Nice.

If it is a Charade perhaps we should put Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn on the committee. (this post is exclusive to the older ponyfans out there)
