Do you suppose (this is for Blog primarily) that Orsini will announce tomorrow PM so it will hit the DMN Saturday addition. Last time it was pointed out the mistiming of a Friday announcement if you want maximum coverage. I am beginning to think that is the way they want it. Minimal coverage to stay quiet and behind the scenes until we can smell success again. Just a thought. I guess we will find out tomorrow.

Well, they already have announced that the search will extend into next week. However, if they hired a coach today, they'd announce it today, and even if his name isn't Matt Doherty or Billy Donovan or Coach K, they'll try to trumpet that hire as much as possible. No way does SMU try to "keep it quiet," in my opinion.

Come on PonyPride. Did you really mean to lump MD in the same sentence with Coach K and Donovan? I do not think it would be that great of a coup to get Doh.

Prolly not.
I really like both Evans and Doh, the only reason I kinda like Doh more is because it seems like a hire that SMU wouldn't normally hire. Want something different.

I would have no problem with Doh although I openly hope for Evans. I just do not think that Doh, or Evans rank quite as high on the food chain as K or Donovan.

Seems like marketing 102 is in full swing.
