I was just driving on campus and ran into Ike Ofeugbo sp? and Brian Morris... and I know Morris off of the team for the meantime but does anyone know if there are plans to bring him back?

Morris has announced he is going to a junior college in Idaho.

So it sounds like Morris was more of an academic casualty than anything else. Is that correct? :?

I heard that he never attended class and flunked out. I also heard that that is the problem with several other players including up to 4 starters last year! Tubbs never road herd over these guys like Dement did. I'm not even sure if summer school can cure the problem for some of them. It could be a tough fall for the team if some of these guys are ineligible :!: :!: :!:

If Coach Doherty decides (wisely, IMO), to hold scholarships until next year, rather than signing someone merely for the sake of signing someone, it could be a rough season anyway. Having said that, I also would assume that even if we get no more new players and simply go with whoever comes back, the team will play harder and better than it did last year, and that Coach D will be able to sell the promise of the future to some very capable recruits.
