Wanted to pass a story about Dougherty. Apparently at the C-USA meetings, Houston and Memphis were [deleted] about conference teams not wanting to play them...Doughterty raised his hand and said we'll play you, bring it. I LOVE THAT ATTITUDE

Hopefully, Memphis and Houston will live to regret that request

Wonder if Coach Dirty has any eligibility left?

If that is actually true, then those other schools are stupid for not wanting to play UH or Memphis. Houston has a "name" coach who runs a very exciting brand of basketball. Memphis has a "name" coach AND a nationally recognized marquis program to go along with that. Those are the types of things which will help stir up interest in the fans and sell more tickets. They also give you a better shot of landing another television appearance.
I wouldn't be surprised if Penders and Calipari were just whining in an attempt to get a concession on some other issue. What would be the point of those other schools belonging to an athletic conference with schools that they do not want to play against?

Sounds good...

By the way it is Doherty, but nice comment. I like the competitive edge that Doherty gives us, just wait and see SMU basketball will be strong in the next few years!

not to mention that Memphis and Houston will sell more tickets at Moody than ECU and UCF.
