Another Doh recruit drafted

David Noel, a three-star receiver prospect in football from Durham, NC, was unrecruited in basketball, but Doherty offered him a walk-on position on the Tar Heels and promised to give him a scholarship when one opened up the next year.

After being a small part of the NCAA's two years ago, David was the tough, athletic leader--and the heart and soul--of this year's overachieving team that finished #2 in the ACC. The guy was like the second coming of George Lynch and only Matt saw it.

Thanks, Coach.

Dave just went in the second round to the Bucks. Not bad for an unrecruited football player.

I've seen it before. I don't know if it's because it sounds sort of like his name, or if it reflects his playing style. As I recall, he did a lot of the dirty work at UNC while Worthy, Perkins and some guy named Mike got the headlines.

I've only seen it on this board, but it is cooler that "Doh".

I agree -- much better than Doh.

Remember those guys who had t-shirts that said "Get DEMENT-ED" (or something like that)?

I would think there are a ton of t-shirts out there just waiting to happen that could play off "Dirty."
