So is there a reason for this.. or did I miss something? My guess is he rescheduled because for one of these reasons..
1. Out recruiting.. (my personal hope)
2. Being coached on how to answer Tubbs questions
3. Playing in a Golf tournament in an outlying outpost
4. Eating at another Dallas restaurant.. to be mentioned later in blog
5. Summer camp prep.. (another personal hope).
Any guesses.. or do we know the real reason?

Plumbing problems. Do not know if it was home or something personal.

Here's PonyPride's post that I was referring to
You're half right. Word is Coach has been dealing with a plumber all day at his new house. But MM65 hit the nail on the head -- there is a recruit on campus today. I'm not sure who he is yet, but he looked (I saw him getting a campus tour) like a point guard -- maybe 6'1" or so, and very muscular. If I figure out who he is, I'll post it.

I believe most of June is a "quiet" period in recruiting per NCAA. Contacts resume late June and July.

Wouldn't June 28 be "late June?"

Yes. That is why I think much of June seemed quiet recruiting-wise and that things will heat up next few weeks. From everything I have read about Doherty, recruiting (be it effort expended or results achived) has always seemed a strong suit of his--as assistant at Davidson and Kansas and as head coach at ND, UNC and FAU

Non-issue -- it was late in the month, and if the kid came by on his own (local recruit?), then it doesn't matter anyway, as most recruiting rules are written to address coach-initiated contact. And for what it's worth, Coach Doherty was not with him when I saw him. My understanding is that Coach Doherty was at home dealing with a plumber. The guy I assume was a recruit had another tourguide who I couldn't identify (I was driving).

PonyPride, we sincerely do appreciate your expertise on the issue. Do you know who Coach D has on his wishlist?
carolsmu - he recruited Roy Williams' championship team at UNC. I'm ready to see what he can do here.
