Results of Mavs Summer League Team vs. Nigerian National Team

On Sat., July 1st, the Mavs 2006 Summer League Team defeated the Nigerian National Team 89-85. The exhibition game was played at TCU's Daniel Meyer Coliseum.

Most notable was the performance of Mavs first round draft pick Maurice Ager, who had officially signed his contract earlier the same afternoon. Ager took over late in the game to lead the Mavs squad to victory. He finished with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Other noteworthy performances included Josh Powell (16 points and 10 rebounds), Pavel Podkolzin (2 points and 8 rebounds) and Brian Hopkins (11 points and 8 assists).
The Mavs Summer League Team officially gets rolling when the Toshiba Vegas Summer League begins Thursday, July 6.

B-Hop actually looked pretty decent. doubt he'll be landing an NBA contract any time soon, but dude may find himself in the NBDL and eventually wind up there.

Is there a schedule out there somewhere? It'd be fun to go see Bhop play.

Unless you're out in Vegas or Salt Lake.. you're SOL. Possibly on NBA-TV or something.

DALLAS (July 1, 2006) — The Dallas Mavericks announced the team’s 2006 Summer League roster today. The squad will participate in the Toshiba Vegas Summer League July 6-14 and at the 2006 Rocky Mountain Revue in Salt Lake City July 14-21.

Mavericks first-round draft pick Maurice Ager will join returning players Josh Powell, Rawle Marshall and Pavel Podkolzin on the 14-man roster. The Mavericks will begin play on Thursday, July 6 when they take on the Denver Nuggets in Las Vegas

I hope he does well, he certainly has the talent. For him it is all confidence and mindset. If he can be a coachable player, he can play in the NBA.
