One of the first things I HOPE Coach Doh will change..
If he wants a Cameron Stadium feel.. he needs that section to be reserved for the loudest students. Hopefully that's a policy that will change now that Copeland and Dement are gone.

That's where I always sat when I wasn't covering a game.... and I was never what you'd call "subtle."

I think another thing that should be done is only allow people wearing red to sit behind the bench. I think that it is so ridiculous when half of the people behind the benches are wearing the visiting colors. I believe that this would also improve the Mustang Maniac membership.

What happens when the visiting team's color is red?

That has always been my theory when TT comes to town. Why wear blue and be out numbered. Wear red and blend and no one will know by looking that we are severly out numbered.

So we need to schedule teams with the same colors as us.

It's my understanding that this is at least a conference rule, not an SMU one. With or without the rule, most schools have a "buffer zone" behind the visiting bench, that is reserved for family, visitors, etc. Duke has it, for example.
I'm less worried about "letting" students sit behind the visitors' bench than actually getting them to the game to sit anywhere. Lots of prime seats available!

I believe it is an NCAA rule, but I think it only requires the first 2 rows be reserved for visitors. I'm with you DiamondM, let's actually get some students to the game, then we can worry about where they sit.

the so called "MUSTANG MANIACS" are not so loud and proud.
I hope for them to be much louder and crazier this year than in years past.

The whole seating thing at Moody need an overhaul. We need to tell the blue seat season ticket folks that they come to at lease 50% of th egames or they lose their rights to the game. The entire eason cost 800 bucks for two seats - for alot of people they are fine going to four games. That is b.s - we would have better student seats if they could get closer to the action.
1) put our people behind the visitor and stop being a banowsky suck up - they moved them after Knight complained.
2) scrunch the blues into the middle and give the students the outer blues. Or open the lower section to anyone after 10 minutes.
3) let the band really play at time outs - the other team will be deaf.
4) doherty needs to go the fraternities and tell it like it is - if you are a red blooded american male in college and dont attend basketball games you are a first class wussy.
