SMU MEN’S BASKETBALL GAME AT MEMPHIS FEB. 3 MOVED TO ESPN

IRVING, Texas – The SMU men’s basketball game at Memphis on Feb. 3 is one of three Conference USA men’s basketball games, originally scheduled to air on ESPN2 in 2007, that have been moved to ESPN. The Mustangs game at Memphis will tip at 11:00 a.m. CT. The other two C-USA games that have been moved to the signature channel are a Jan. 4 non-conference game between Memphis and Cincinnati and a league matchup with Memphis at UTEP on March 1.

“It is exciting that ESPN recognizes SMU basketball is on the rise,” states Doherty. “This is a great opportunity for us to show Mustang basketball to the nation.”

SMU men’s basketball has a school-record five nationally televised games during the 2006-07 regular season. The Mustangs play the game at Memphis on ESPN and four games on CSTV. The Mustangs’ games on CSTV are at TCU on Dec. 21 at 7 p.m., at Houston on Jan. 13 at 5 p.m., home against Houston on Feb. 7 at 7 p.m., and the home game against Memphis on March 3 at 8:30 p.m. The Mustangs play the first three televised games on the road before playing the final two at home in Moody Coliseum.

Conference USA teams will be featured on the ESPN family of networks at least 16 times this season and more than 40 additional nationally televised games on other networks. There is also a comprehensive package of regional at local games that will be televised during the 2006-07 season. CSTV is available in Dallas on DirecTV channel 610 and Dish Network channel 152. Contact your local cable provider for more information on how to get these channels.

Actually, its "Don't you know that it's time to get on board
And let this train keep on riding, riding on through"

Maybe this years moto could be the line "Please don't miss this train at the station, Cause if you miss it, I feel sorry, sorry for you" as an attendance promo.
