Short but still cool that he does this for us during the season.

One just can't help but love Doherty’s enthusiasm.

When completed, and if we still have a coach who can recruit, this program could really take off. I’ve always said it, SMU has unlimited potential in basketball given a true commitment from the University. It looks as though we might have that under the leadership of Orsini.

Agreed, LA. To echo Doherty, it really IS a great time to be a Mustang.

I don’t want to get into the Coach Tubbs fiasco - he is a lot better coach than most Pony fans give him credit for, but it appears we have a very top level coach in Doherty. Not only does he get it PR wise, but the guy really knows how to coach. I have little doubt a BCS big boy will be calling at the end of this year for his services, but for whatever reason, I believe he sees the potential here and will stick around for a while. Turning SMU in a top 25 program would make him look like a genius......and who knows, maybe he is.

Who knows what he is thinking but hopefully he'll be here long enough to get this thing going. It sounded like he was tired of moving his family around and they really like the area.
I am excited about his enthusiasm, positive energy, and PR/communication skills. Outrecruiting Baylor and A&M for kids still is going to be the challenge. I guess we don't have to worry about TCWho right now.

Am I the only one that thinks the facade on this thing is hideous?

You can't really tell anything from that small picture

Granted ours will not win any AIA awards, but look at the competition...
TCU
Yes, that is a corrugated metal building. Over the last ten years TCU has handed it to us in 90% of everything we compete in, but I think we have a leg up in all things basketball.
Doesn't look so bad compared to the Froggies.

Nah, I like shoving it in all the Mavs fan's faces. You have the video? T-Mac is sucking it up this year.

Those two, "between the Jordan years" as you put it, are more than the lowly Mavs could muster. No Mavs fan should be talking after that monumental collapse of last year.
