This is fantastic. Doherty is great for his enthusiasm and energy. Now we just need to recruit studs.

One thing that has been so impressive about Coach Doherty since the day he arrived has been his understanding that you need to thank those who help you. Whether it's a handshake to a $100 Mustang Club donor or publicly thanking the folks who gave millions for the new practice facility, Coach Doherty understands that the way to keep effort - and money - coming in from the all-important alumni and fan base involves, among other things, public gratitude. The man is just as smart off the court as he is when it comes to X's and O's.

Interesting that Max Williams name is missing from the list of donors. Also no Hunts on the list and Gerald Ford hasn't been hit up yet either!

Ford had the fundraising kickoff party for the Crum building at his house. I expect he gave a buck or two also.
I hope that Max's name stays missing for all time, backstabber.

I wouldn't doubt that some of the donors are being "saved" for the renovations of Moody. My guess is that would probably start March 2008.

That is what I have been wanting to hear. It is our second most important athletic renovation, after the new Aquatic Center! Can't wait for both commitments and announcements.

Football and basketball aside, the only thing that would make me happier than getting our swimming program back to where it was in the 60's and 70's would be reviving the Track team. I miss the Barr/McMillon days.

Actually they talked about Moody renovations at the groundbreaking-new concessions, more restrooms, reconfiguration of seating bowl. Sorry, no word on the new aquarium yet.
