What a poor loser the TCU Basketball Coach is.....

He just had to add the following quote in the DMN article.

"If we do it over three times, we win the next three"

FACT:

The last time SMU played TCU in football we beat them.
The last time SMU played TCU in basketball we beat them.

Fact: We controlled the game and nearly lost it at the end with incredibly sloppy play. We had the better team, we just played very sloppy in the last three minutes of the game. We play them three more times we win at least two of them.

In proper context, he was referring only to the last shot and he is probably correct. Hopefully if we did it 3 more times we could do a better job of bringing the ball up the court more quickly, and have a better shot selection.

He was fine on the post game show on 103.3. He said he would like to see this game earlier so that the students and fans could enjoy the rivalry to a fuller arena, which would be good.

TCU did have cheerleaders there, no band. The Dallas Maniacs were in attendance rooting for TCU. How does that work?

Sure would be nice to be able to tune into 770AM and actually hear the post game show.

Who were the seemingly slovenly, heavy set, sloppy (mrydel clones in other words) guys doing a dance routine during a break? Also appeared to include a little person. Seemed kind of cool but they did not get much air time.

I guess you haven't attended a Mavs game?

I don't think we have much room to talk about poor sportsmanship, what with the entire team running to the locker room without shaking hands. Must admit that made me wince a little.

That said...I can't remember the last time we lost to the frogs in any sport. I think we should begin the process of disassociating ourselves from them.

Observations: Daniel -Meyer looked pretty good. Lighting is terrific. Saw the new indoor workout facility going up. Necessary? Basketball practice facility is an aesthetic eyesore. TCU had some hefty cheerleaders who were putting those polyester skirts to the test. "Visitor" cheerleaders are allowed, 2 or 4 (like we had at Rice football game) would have been sufficient. We should have had 2 or 3 times as many fans. Don't know what it takes. TCU didn't have many students there, but a heckuva lot more "adult" fans than we can muster. What are we doing to alienate the ticket-buying public? Our general admission tickets are 1/2 the price of what it costs to go see the Frogs. Don't say they're all going to the maverick game. We had a good time.

No I have not. Are those the Maniacs to whom you referred?

Home Run Pitch of the Year. Question: What is SMU doing to alienate the Ticket buying public? All together now -------------

Gee, let me see...

A) SMU is getting the Bush Library
B) Not incorporating Stallion model
C)Ticket prices too high
D)Dallas Mavericks are a better show
E)All of the above

Seriously, I don't know the attendance numbers, but their fans were pretty sparse to me. They aren't doing any better.

I woud have accepted persistent suckiness that has beaten the fans down to a pulp and ripped the hearts from our lifeless bodies and stomped on us so many times we have lost all signs of a pulse-or something to that effect. Oh and because of the Dallas Morning News.
