Top 10 Reasons March Madness is better than Moody Madness

Postby PonyTime » Sun Jan 28, 2007 3:28 pm

This is in response to Ford-Tolbert . . .

Top 10 Reasons why EA Sports March Madness on Playstation is better than an actual game at Moody:

1. SMU plays teams like North Carolina, Texas, and Texas A&M (instead of North Carolina A&T, Texas College, and Prarie View A&M).

2. The cheerleaders are hot and dance in formation.

3. Brad Nessler provides the color commentary (nothing against Dan Bell).

4. The band does not break into the Lollipop song when I go on a 10-0 run to tie the game.

5. SMU lands a top recruit every once in a while.

6. ESPN displays the score of the game and provides actual coverage.

7. Chad Elsey can be found no-where in the game.

8. In the game - there are students in the student section.

9. Cheer and Hamburgers do not exist as "perks" in the game.

10. I can drink beer with a cup, a lid, and a straw and watch the game at the same time.

With that said - I hope you all know this is meant to be SATIRE re the commentary on this site from the last few weeks. If I lived closer than 700 miles to Moody - I would be at about 95% of the home games regardless of their record, the hotness of the cheerleaders, or the Lolipop song.

If the cheerleaders were hot I bet you'd be at 100% of the games.

2KSports version of basketball blows out EA's version any day...the player movements seem much more "real"

OK - You are probably right. I cannot comment on this year's crew as I have not been to a game. At least I will see the boys on Nat TV in a few days against Memphis.

If they served beer in cups with lids and straws at Moody, I am guessing that attendance would double . . .

Which reminds me - when I was a student (and we are talking the last SWC Champs - Chad Allen, Mike Wilson Kinzer, etc) , we pretty much brought anything we wanted into Moody. The Captain was always a good mixer with those over-syruped Dr. Peppers that they sold at concessions . . .

Unfortunately they now check our purses at Moody...for "food and drink" they say...too bad, as alcohol would make everyone less criticial of the little things.... :D

Only as much time as it took you to upload that Borat logo. Why not upload a Yakov Smirnov logo? Now that would have been funny . . .
