Junior guard Derrick Roberts practiced Thursday for the first time since suffering a bruise on the bone of his right knee, which caused him to miss SMU's last three games. Coach Matt Doherty said there's a chance that Roberts could play Saturday against No. 11 Memphis, but he is concerned about his effectiveness.
The Mustangs are staying on the road after their 60-56 victory Wednesday at UAB. SMU took the bus to Memphis from Birmingham on Thursday afternoon.
Doherty praised the continuing development of 7-1 sophomore center Bamba Fall, who had 16 points, six rebounds and three blocks against UAB.
