About Moody from last night's Doh show

Postby RGV Pony » Tue Feb 06, 2007 8:26 am

...so Coach D mentioned that the $$ are already in place to do what a lot of us think would go a long way to improving Moody: getting rid of the offices once the new facility is open and widening the concourse. I think he said some of the offices will be moved to the all-sports center at Ford. He genuinely sounds giddy when Rich gets him talking about the future of Moody.

Also it was interesting to hear that immediately after the Memphis loss, Doh flew up to Hartford to watch Papa and Mike Walker play. He's putting forth the effort.

Hard not to be, don't you think? I think I remember hearing that marketing, sports information, tickets, etc., will move full-time to Ford.

Excellent. Not just sitting back now that they're signed. Show them the love, and get them excited to be Mustangs. I know we're excited to have them!

I didn't get a chance to listen -- did Coach Doherty say anything about how they played when he was up there?

Are there any drawings of what the renovated concourses will look like? I guess they will have a nice spirit store, display cases/trophy cases, new concession areas, M Association room, new restrooms, TVs strategically placed. I figure they will knock out a portion of the north exterior wall and create an alternate entrance that will tie-in, architecturally, with the new Crum Center. Just getting the stained facade water-blasted and cleaned will make the place look like the classic gem/gym that it is. Is the street in front of Moody from Binkley down to Doak Walker gonna be bricked? It's gonna be a nice walkway to football, basketball and soccer. I imagine they'll lose the chain link fence once the soccer stadium gets its upgrade. This is gonna be fun.

I don't know if the airline is supposed to be bricked there or not, but they are turning it into a pedestrian walkway. The mustangs statue is supposed to be moved from it's current location into the walkway as a counterbalance to Doak by the football stadium.
The donkey's name is Kiki.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.

I might add that bricking the old alley between Lambda Chi, SAE and Letterman and Westcott Field to the outdoor Aquatic Center and 'new' Perkins Natatorium would add a great final touch.

This would tie Moody to Westcott, A.R. Barr and Perkins complexes.

Pretty cool!
