Congrats to SMU WBB's two signees: Haley Day (Rockwall) and Lashandra Hill (Ft. Worth Dunbar) will participate in next weeks State Tourney. Day's performance in Regional play was spectacular, posting 37 points in the Regional Semi-Final. Both signees are in the top 20 for the State of Texas. Add these players to the current team, I think the future is extremely bright for the Women's team. Congrats to the coaches in bringing top talent to SMU and good luck to Haley and Lashandra at State!!

that Haley Day chick can hoop. I saw some extended highlites of her on the High School Highlites show and I was very impressed. Not [deleted] the eyes either. I know I'm a chauvenist but that's why I watch woman's basketball-so sue me.

Good call, T96 .... but one of the juniors who already has committed (I think it's Katie Meador -- is that her first name?) also is headed to State.
Like you said, congratulations to the SMU coaches!

You are correct - Katie Meador out of Marble Falls is also headed to state.

I would be surprised if Haley Day was not named the DMNs top metroplex player. She is clearly the best defensive player but she can also shoot and she apparently is a leader. Quite a class Rhonda has for next season.

Sounds like she's on her way to a nice class for the year after, too - which is good, considering Shepherd, Cobb and Dodds are all graduating.
That's like losing Sturdivant, Haywood and Rogers in one year.

No, they are all juniors. Katie Gross is the only senior, and she has a medical redshirt this year. They will all be back.

The way I read it, that's what he meant - that NEXT year's recruits need to be good since the big three, or four when you add Gross - will be graduating then.
