I will be there in spirit...we are having about 10 folks to the cabin tonight, mainly MSU fans (with jobs and teeth, btw..) and a couple of SMUers....should be lively, I know my MSU friends will "be cool", no pucca shell necklaces and ripped T's allowed. GO PONIES!!

Darn you, Drew...you know we gave you a good scare!
Definitely a great game. You guys are an awesome team and for the conference as a whole, I hope you kick some serious (you know what) in the tourney. Best of luck in the weeks ahead...

A couple of hundred fans sitting in section F, wearing your team colors helps too, something most SMU fans have NEVER understood. In a city like Dallas, we can play a school that I have never heard of, and they will have alums at the game. That's what happens when you live in a city like Dallas, career opportunities are here.

If we had a TOP 10 team, we might also get this type of attendance (or more) on the road. (For you skeptics, remember the 2,000+ fans that showed up in Houston for the last game of the year with Rice!) If Memphis had our record, it would be interesting to see whether or not this many fans would have showed. I don't think I will hold my breath because I doubt if a third would have showed.

I remember going to see SMU play Baylor in the old Heart of Texas Coliseum, it was in the mid 80's and we were in the top 10. There couldn't have been more than 30 SMU fans there.

They don't show up for football games so it's due to the #6 ranking. UTEP fans are the best in our side of C-USA. Didn't they have as many fans at Moody as Memphis? And they're having a below average season. It was good to see the Memphis fans because it adds to the competitive spirit.

UTEP had more fans than Memphis.
