All the posturing by UK officials sounded like a kiss of death.
How long until John Calipari's name is circulated as a candidate? ESPN's Andy Katz says Michigan State's Tom Izzo, Crean (Marquette) and Few (Gonzaga) likely will be on the short list.

Posted: Thu Mar 22, 2007 5:21 pmAccording to folks up here, Tubby got an ultimatum fromt the AD to fire several of his staff, and Tubby wouldn't do it. So, this was turning into a power struggle. Tubby made the decision to cut out while the getting was good. Smart decision on his part.
