Anatomy of a sleeze. Good riddance BCG. He stepped all over everyone on his way up. Too bad he is going to meet them on his way down.

Does it appear to anybody else that BCG is too good? Like maybe he has been helped by a supernatural power? Perhaps an evil one?

I agree. Billy Gillispie spelled backwards is Yllib Eipsillig.

I'm glad this has surfaced. Now everyone knows what he is all about. I thought this kind of behavior was limited to the Enrons of the world. Really unbelievable. He better never set foot in Arkansas again. Me Me Me. Nice examople BCG.

This is all in line with what the Arkansas people have said. They do not care anymore because now they all believe their new coach is the best that there ever was or will be. Their glasses rose-colored up really fast.

I do not know that I can totally blame Gillispie though. This happens all the time in my world, just with smaller dollars. I made a deal myself a few years ago and promised my courters that I would not use their offer to sweeten my deal where I was. When I announced I was leaving, I was given an package that I could not begin to refuse. So technically I did use the one deal to improve the other, but the intent was never there to actually do that. And the other group still likes me.

LB you are definitely coach material.

This seems above and beyond the usual. BCG got Heath fired and then left Ark in the lurch. Well done BCG. He would have gone to UT? This guy left scruples in the dust somewhere between none and not at all.

Well, If Donovan was going to Kentucky, Floridas conference rival, I have no problem believing clyde would go to UT. I really don't see anything wrong w/what Gillespie did. The folks that truly got worked were the Hawgs. not having a back-up plan is so stupid, its hard to even fathom.

Nacho, I went to that school too, but I am afraid it does not exist anymore.

Screwing A&M and Arkansas at the same time.? Think I found a new hero.

I heard he didn't return his A&M players' phone calls or text messages either, I know it's not easy to tell them he's ditching them, but he could've atleast told the players that helped make him such a hot commodity that he was leaving, instead of letting them hear through the news

He was asked on the radio the other day about telling his players, and he claimed the Kentucky thing happened so fast he "had to tell some recruits through voicemails and text messages." Classy. If need be, sign the contract, shake hands and tell Kentucky not to announce anything until he talks to each player. Not always reasonable, I realize, and classy just isn't his way, but he has burned a lot of bridges in a short career. UTEP felt jilted when he left after they gave him his first coaching gig, and A&M feels jilted. Arkansas should just feel stupid.
