SMU's got seven young players already on campus that he will count on for PT next season.

Likes the look of the new building going up.

Busy recruiting and interviewing asst. coaches to replace Garland.

Players are working out with strength coach and playing pickup games and better be going to class.

This is Derrick Robert's and Jon Killen's team. (I hope one of them can hurry up and learn to dribble to the left).

Matt Doherty is good... positive, enthusiastic, intelligent, informative. A real plus for Mustang athletics and Southern Methodist University. Might be the only DFW sports personality that speaks in complete sentences.

Sportscaster threw out that we moved up, what was it 61 places in RPI last year? Of course, given the year before that was not saying much.

Doh mentioned that 3 starters were gone, of course not news. That preceded the idea that the new guys would not be viewed as new guys and would be expected to contribute. Mentioned how Texas was young last season and that Texas did not discuss being young, therefore we should not.

Looking forward to starting practice in the new facility.

Isn't the incoming point guard supposed to be better than Killen?

I would hope so. My understanding was that we were going to take it UP a level, not maintain the status quo. We can't win with the holdovers.

Bamba might be the only starter from last year....who starts this year.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that Coach Doherty will wait until practice starts before anointing anyone as a starter.
