Mr. SmuPony94,
The 2007/08 SMU Basketball season is upon us and now is the chance to renew your seats form last season. We have a renewal period lasting until Sept 30th allowing last year’s season ticket holders first right of refusal on their seats. Should you wish to move or upgrade your seats you will need to wait until Oct 1st. We are encouraging those who are wanting to move seats to go ahead and renew your existing seats so that you secure those and then after the renewal period we will look to meet your needs based on best available.
It is going to be an exciting season as Coach Doherty looks to lead the Mustangs to a Conference USA Championship.
Please contact me at your earliest convenience to secure your seats for this coming season!
Go Mustangs!

Has anyone else received a mailer on season ticket renewals? I have not and there is nothing on the SMU website about renewals.

When I read about the renewal period ending Sept. 30 in this thread, I got worried and called the ticket office since I haven't recieved a mailer either. I was told there wouldn't be a mailer this year due to having a new staff and system, but that all season ticket holders would be called. Why it's taking so long to call us or why you can't renew online I have no idea.

I called the ticket office and was told I would get a call tomorrow. This all seems very strange.

I'm upgrading this year, so I guess I'll have to wait.

Invoices are being created now and you should be receiving them in the next two weeks. In addition, every season ticket holder should be getting a call from the ticket office by the end of this week. GO MUSTANGS!

Just got my call. They asked me if I would like to be called again when I could upgrade my seat.

I got my call and renewed my tictets. Also got on the upgrade list. My understanding is that upgrade preference is based on Mustang Club contribution level.

Word of warning to anyone that had season tickets beyond the baseline: Everything in the "end zone" - corners included - will now be general admission seats.
You can still buy season tickets for this area, but your actual seat isn't guaranteed. You want to sit in a particular seat? Show up early.
The alternative is to purchase reserved season tickets, at an increased cost of $135 per ticket ($225 vs. $90). Plus, with such a limited number of reserved seats (three sections on each side) who knows where your new seats will be?
Some people have had corner and baseline season tickets for years, but now they will be faced with the prospect of a free-for-all despite their loyalty. OK, so only the Memphis game could be a real problem this season. Just pointing this out as another example of how things are changing under Orsini.

Maybe the general admission will encourage more of us students to show up. Its a damn shame how quiet it is down there, especially during non-conference games.
