His Kentucky Wildcats just lost to Gardner-Webb (where is that school?), 84-68 in Rupp Arena. That game counts.
Way to get the Big Blue Nation behind you.

Absolutely serious. Watched it when ESPNews cut to it.

That score shocked me too. Those fans will give him a hard time about that loss. Probably won't help his recruiting either...reckon there were any 4 or 5 star recruits there?....Go Mustangs!!!

hope not. Each successive opening at a big program combined with each step forward our team takes is going to lead to Doh's being lured somewhere else.

Thought it was funny that the G-W coach said his team was picked 10th or 11th in preseason in his conference and hoped maybe this could move them up to 8th or 9th.

Gardner-Webb is here in NC, just outside of Raleigh. Looks like two of the biggest upsets in recent history have come from small NC schools (App. St. over Michigan and now Gardner-Webb over Kentucky).
Gives me hope for SMU over Memphis this year!!

If Doherty is only in the ballpark of a .500 record this year, I don't forsee him being lured away, yet. If we make a run in CUSA next year or the year after, then, yeah, he'll be courted big time.

I don't know how much it would help, but if we want to keep Doh, then I suggest we do everything we can to make his stay here a pleasant one. We can start by filling Moody up...even for the games that don't excite us all that much. Make it a Duke type of environment and we might persuade him to ignor others that come a courting. Of course we will need to keep his salary competitive too.
