More like 7 wins by the end of the year.
No chance for 5 losses in OOC, still have TCU and Colorado to play.

Hope you are not counting Texas State as an easy win. In years past that was the case but not this year. The team is 4-1 and barly lost the 1 to Colgate. The first really good test will be against Rice this coming Tuesday and then back to back games against A&M and Texas. The Texas game will be on Fox Sports Southwest on December 15th if you guys want to check it out.

Have you seen many of their games? How is Jonathan Sloan doing? I know he had 20 points in the last game, but it doesnt look like he was playing much in the first 4 games. Is he getting regular minutes, and how is he doing?

Seems to be doing OK. The team is real young so a lot of the Freshmen are being integrated slowly, with exception of Ty Gough (6-10 255 center). The leading scorer on the team is Brandon Bush, Senior. Overall the team has looked real good. I am going to the Rice game next week. The team did beat Jacksonville State and they have a decent program. They also beat UT Pan Am silly and the Broncos have pretty much owned the Bobcats for the past few years. I think the SMU and Texas State programs are on a simalar track as far as rebuilding. If I am not corrrect I think our new coach is one year ahead of your new coach in that process. The year before Davalos we only won 3 games, in his first year we won 9 games and now this year we are 4-1 and I think we should make the Southland tournament and could challenge for the championship. We will know a lot about this team however after Rice, A&M and Texas. I am not looking for the 'Cats to beat A&M and Texas but am looking for a strong performance and a close game. Last year the'Cats stayed with Texas until about 7 minutes left in the game and the 'Horns pulled away, this year we need to stay in it until the end to show the kind of improvement I think we should.
Boy that's a long answer to a short question isn't it?

I tend to agree with XTC about the wins by the end of December. I do think that toward the end of the regular season we will put together a modest string of wins. I see us actually doing well in the conference tournament if we don't have to play Memphis in the first round.

I think we stand a better chance of Nutt rethinking his decision and coming here......................
