I was out of town today but a friend kept texting the men's and women's games.

As for the men, congrats on the road win in San Antonio. Any win is a good win. FTs in the second half were strong. My man Mike Walker played well -- it appeared -- and they fought through the little victories. Nice job.
Now, let's beat TCU on Wednesday.

For the women, when you win on the road, that's great. Don't know many details other they have won six in a row with a chance to make it 8 with Coppin St. and UTA. And UTA will push them.

As rough as it has been around here this fall, this was a Saturday filled with good news.

Right on, Patton Oswald - a road win is a great win.

I was there. I don't know the final numbers, but to me, the most impressive player was Katie Cobb. She played 100 MPH, and when UNT looked gassed, she killed them by pushing the ball up the floor and finding the open shooter, or weaving around through the defense and driving them nuts. I don't think she scored a lot, but she was great - got the ball in the right place on offense and gave 'em hell on the defensive end.

Cobb always plays at 100 miles an hour. I don't think she could slow down if she wanted to. Don't know of a player on either team with more energy.
