Ok, this has become such an epic joke that it deserves its own thread at the top of this board until it ceases. Are we looking to entertain people who come to SMU games or make them feel like they are at a corny elementary school debate? Somebody make it stop, I implore you.
And what would be wrong with reading some NFL and college bball scores at halftime on a sunday afternoon so the faithful that come out feel like SMU is somewhat connected to the outside world? Use the videotron for god sake and flash scores. Make a joke out of people covering their ears who tivoed the cowboy game and don't want to hear the scores. Instead we get compliance trivia. so unbelievable.

the quiz is put on by a sponsor, that's why it exists. someone should e-mail the head of marketing and tell them to have them sponsor a score update or something, i agree.

I think the contestant today was so confused that she took a guess and was right. There are good prizes like Dallas Stars tickets. But still....

Who sponsors Compliance Trivia? What's their phone number?
Let's end this thing now.

Maybe they should just hand complimentary cliff notes version of the NCAA handbook so people may actually understand the question.

Hell,
If you are hell bent on doing a quiz at least do it on SMU trivia...Like
"Who was SMU's all time leading rebounder?" instead of:
"According to NCAA Bylaw 20-12.a-72 Can a student athlete keep a puppy in his dorm room?"
GG!

How about trivia contest about SMU Basketball history. My god, some of the contestants can look up to the rafters and find the answers.
You connect with your fans with all elements of the program not some ridiculous compliance codes. That whole concept is worthless.

If this abortion of a segment continues at the next home game, I will personally stand up and yell so the other 100 people in the stands can here me and declare "This segment sucks and the other 99 people agree with me."

I've seen trivia themes wound into time element themes, like What year did SMU compete in the Commissioner's Tournament? In that same year, the top song was Summer Breeze, Cheryl Tiegs graced the cover the the SI swimsuit issue was it? 1971, 1972, or 1973?
Or which SMU player played for the Orlando Magic was it.... Much better than NCAA compliance trivia.
Heck even health trivia would be more interesting. At what age should you get a colonoscopy?

Or how did the Mustang band get TCU football helmets in 1974?
