Who ever told you that this team was going to be any good this year? Wins/Losses are Irrelevant this year. Development of the young players is the only important consideration. Really-don't get worked up.

Apparently he has not gone to any games yet if has not realized the limitations of this team.

I didn't expect to be giant killers, but honestly SC-Upstate!?! I thought losing to Southern and Alabama State was bad, but this is pathetic.

I agree. There is no way this should happen.
I expect a few of these JC's to pull an upset every once in a while but this is incredibly bad. No excuse.

Sparse crowd...students away for holiday break...'regulars', as usual, sitting on their [deleted]...woman a couple of seats down and in front of me is writing her Christmas list...I'm yelling my lungs out for the Mustangs...Mustang Alumni Band doing their best to spur the crowd on...South Carolina-Upstate bench is doing a better job cheering for their teammates - and OUT YELLING SMU FANS! Mustangs can't hit a FT to save their [deleted]! 14-pt. lead blown...sloppy play...South Carolina players got faster in the 2nd period and the Mustangs sit back on their heels and allow them to make a 10-pt. unanswered run! Will I be back Thursday night to witness more of this insanity against Prairie View A&M???? Yeah, I will.

I went to the game and we have a long way to go.

Maybe this team will realize that they have to play their A game ALL THE TIME to have a chance to win. If they let up at any time - they can lose to anybody.

USC - Upstate celebrated like they had won a National Championship.

We are going to get slaughtered in CUSA. Just slaughtered. It will be so bad.

We are three years away from having a team - hopefully their confidence will not be destroyed.

What do you guys expect? What team has a void in which 6 or 7 freshman are on the team and have to play? No one. This is SMU. Any other team would have not allowed this to happen. Any other team would have recruited a few JUCO or have a few transfer players to avoid this mess. Not SMU. SMU has a broken model. A model that creates losing. There is no way in hell most of the freshman on this team should be playing. They should redshirt. We should have one or two JUCO players playing instead. This is why SMU has no fan base. The SMU model creates losing and people do not like to watch losers. Change the model and the results will change on the floor.

I expected to beat this team tonight.......nobody is saying win the conference or even win conference games....but at least beat upstate

Of course they did, it was a very historic night for them. This was their first ever win against an NCAA Div. 1 team.

Nobody redshirts freshmen basketball players....at least not the good ones.
