Groin pulls normally heal slowly. If that is what he has, he will probably be out for awhile.

Talked about his health not being an excuse this year. Now, look what happens. He just can't catch a break. If I'm right, I think all of his injuries here have been with his legs.

Heal fast, Derrick.

Every injury opens the door for another player. Great news for Harp & Malone. Too bad Benny has a stress fracture. It would have been nice to see him get some quality minutes.

Although his contributions have not been that great the last 2 games I have always been a big Roberts fan. He performance has been very disappointing to me throughout his career. At times he has given the impression that he was going to elevate his game to the next level.
Just hasn't happened.

I think Doh is a doing a great job.

After reading the blog I have some advice for Doh.
Papa also has spent many nights away from Mrs. Papa & the little Papa's.
You never get that time back.

My advice is recruit from the inside out, not the outside in.
No need to spend the middle of your week on the west coast & the weekend in the midwest. Spend it @ 900 W. Camp Wisdom Rd.
While there, u will find 2 outstanding recruits for the 2009 class & 1 for the 2010 class. Their outstanding recruit for 2008 unfortunately signed with arch rival TCU. Looks like Baylor is sure spending alot of time there too. When finished there, you are right around the corner from Kimball. When finished, hit I20 & go east to Mesquite or west to Ft. Worth Dunbar or North Crowley.

2 added bonuses. Spend nights @ home & save on those travel expenses.

really like the theory of evaluating players in season. It takes extra effort, but he is right on point. The AAU ball in the summer is a different atmosphere and situation. Sometimes those kids play 3 games in one day. real offenses are rarely run in aau ball either.

as for going to Cali and the Midwest, no surprise i agree with papa. inside out, not outside in. I like it.

AAU coaches disgust me in how they pimp their players. They have more control over where they go and it just sours recruiting in general.

Weren't you the one who was complaining about Roberts and saying he "doesn't have a health excuse to fall back on" or something?

I've seen Doh out walking home with his wife after apparently taking their kid to elementary school. He really does seem like a family guy and not just a big ego like a lot of coaches.

Too bad the Ponies are going to lose on Wednesday. 8)

Our kids go to the same elementary school and, yes, he is a good family guy.

What's your point? I just addressed that earlier in this thread -- and I made my comments before he got hurt.
