Not a fan of his work on FSN but what a welcome change as a PA announcer. I hope they bring him back - helped the game atmosphere a lot.........

On another note, what is up with the idiot that cranks up the canned music?? Twice in the last couple of minutes, the band was playing, the crowd was actually chanting loudly and then some dufus cranks up the piped in crap music and drowns out the crowd and the band................

By the way, the team played their best game by far this year...............

I agree, he was a huge improvement. The regular dude needs to retire.

That regular dude is Dan Bell and he is sick.

EDIT: We've heard for a couple of years that Dan's health was an issue. So what Alex posted is something completely different. Thanks, Alex. I hope Dan is OK.

But we're getting to the point in this country where dismissals and firings are done in this cowardly way. It's not only us but other places of business. Shows little backbone as far as I'm concerned.

Should this have been the case, Orsini and co. better do a better job on the way they treat people.

I'm sorry to hear that he is sick and I wish him well, but I'm just not a fan of his work. Saturday was a big improvement.

He is not ill, he was informed by email on Thursday, that his services would no longer be needed. Dan is a great SMU fan, and I wish him well.
He also told me, that he feels he will be let go as the football announcer as well.

Fired by email! It seems to me that the least you could do would be to have a face to face.

The mob boss, and his henchman Mike Vought, are still taking people for one way rides.

This happened many years back with the Mavs. Kevin McCarthy (nice guy, not that enthusiastic) got sick and was replaced for a game by Humble Billy Hayes, and never got his job back

Humble is unbearable. Basketball is my favorite sport and the Mavs are my favorite team, but he kills me.

"WOFFFFFENSIVE FOUL"

he's a good guy, and he creates great energy, which is what Cuban wants from the fans

Are you sure that was Ric Renner doing the play by play? Didn't look like him to me. I heard it was a guy that works Cowboys games.

He creates a headache for me. I know the directive is coming from Cuban, but I don't need to be told to cheer "defense" every time the other team has the ball?? I guess I'm getting old.

It is not Ric Renner, thankfully, as he is one of the largest and most annoying a-holes on the planet.
This guy came over from the Dallas Desperados.

I really enjoyed the PA announcer & the overall game presentation.

I hope in the future we can schedule home games against UT, A&M, Baylor, Ark & TT. We only had 3000 fans @ the Tulsa game but Moody still has the magic. I can't wait to see it packed again someday.

Moody without question is one of the best places in the country to watch college bb.
