Doh's latest blog: Today we will be without the services of Papa as he is having some pain in the area of the hamstring related to his back. This is a blow to him and our team as he has been playing at a high level! Papa has been one of C-USA's leading scorers and FG% leaders. His game has grown so much lately. We hope he will be back on the court soon!

Now we need for everyone else to step up their games a little more!

I hope there is not some permanent damage to his back because we chose to play him this year. I know there was speculation that he would have and that he needed surgery, but he was able to rest and play through it. I sure hope that he is able to continue his career at full speed as the next few years pass.

This is going to be a tough especially without Papa. We have not had many road games, so I am anxious to see how well we play away from Moody. I hope J-Kill takes the game into his hands and scores 20+ points because he can. If D-Rob can play extended minutes, I could see us keeping it relatively close, but we will lose. We need a W so badly.

Actually, XTC is the rules GURU. First, it is not a redshirt, it is a hardship. In football, if I recall it is not having played in 20% of the games during the first 1/2 of the season or something to that effect. But regardless, it has to be a season ending injury and this would not be one from the way it sounds. He is pretty well locked into this season.

Papa is loooooooong past the point where he could apply for the hardship waiver.

Given where this season is going, no reason to risk permanent injury by rushing him back. Let him heal the right way and come back strong at the end of the season, or next fall. We know what he can do, and he knows what he needs to do to get better.
